Conversations at Q Portland – Me and Sam

So there were some pretty amazing folks at Q Portland this week, lots of new and old friends. One of my favorite conversations was with a new friend. His name is Sam and he is 10. Our conversation was something like this:

Me: Talk to me about the fatherless boys at your school.

Sam: Well, boys without dads get in trouble a lot. They seem like they don’t listen or care.

Me: How do they get along with the other boys?

Sam: They fight more.

Me: Why do you think this is?

Sam: Boys without dads fight and isolate themselves because they are hurting.
